Erythrina indica - The Indian Coral Tree. Among Hindus , the tree is supposed to flower in Lord Indra's garden.The leaf with its three leaflets is said to represent the Hindu trimurti; the middle leaflet representing Vishnu, the right one Brahma, the left leaflet Shiva. Very popular with Tea estate planters because of its nitrogen fixation properties.
